If you’ve ever spent a day with Joe Benziger, it probably included at least one meal (or midnight snack for that matter,) of pizza. Besides making great wine, Joe also considers himself a bit of pizza making master – so much so that he even had a pizza oven built in his backyard so he could refine his craft! Joe recommends grabbing a couple of pre-made packs of dough in the refrigerator section at Whole Foods and letting the dough rest at room temp for about 20-30 minutes for ease in rolling out and tossing. And of course, he also recommends pairing it with 2011 Cabernet Franc!
